My favorite little camera

This is my favorite camera. I carried it with me when I went to park, party and sport events. It has amazing supermacro mode. You can take photos as close as 2 cm. You can fill up the whole picture if you take a picture of a stamp with 1 1/2 inches wide and 1 inch tall. The picture quality is excellent*. I did not miss much shot with this little camera. This lens is the show case of this little camera.

Why did I buy it?

I was looking for an affordable solution to take photos through microscope lens. Most specialized microscope cameras are too expensive - a simple 3MP generic brand CMOS camera will cost $300. I stumble across microscope e-magazine website. An article recommend use wide angle settings to take photos through microscope, so I bought this little camera. It only cost me around $150 and has a very wide angle. The wide angle is so wide that it will include a ring of microscope eye piece at telescope mode. I have to give up using it as microscope camera but I found that its supermacro mode is amazing.

Pictures of the Leaf Hopper

Leaf Hopper

This small leaf hopper visited my home office and take a little rest on the lucky bomboo. The light condition is very low. There are only small cabinet lights on my table. The leaf hopper is about 1/8th of an inch.

Supermacro Modes

I took those pictures during a drizzling day. Drops of water on the berries as still visible. The size of berries of Heavenly bomboo (Nandina domestica) are about 5mm or 1/5 in. The color is bright red. This little camera capture the color prefectly.  The supermacro and Hi-ISO shooting seems to be the best combination for taking macro shot.  Just point and snap!  That's all you need to do.  Even with high ISO, the picture of the cherry bark still show a good dept.

That's some talent! I saw lots of fist hubs (and lenses) that are awfully spammy (I might be guilty of that). Welcome to Hubpages.

PS: Awesome pics.I particularly liked the green insect.

Wonderful photos, what an eye! Welcome to Hubpages. I am also new to this website, and I love what I am able to do with it. Much better than blogging, because this site allows you to relate to people with the same interests.
